Like most decent people, the team at Seldon Gill likes to do our bit for the world around us. Sometimes this means individual projects such as charity sporting events or fundraisers, and other times we offer our business services to help Not For Profit organizations recruit talent for their organization. To date we have helped numerous charities and we are always happy to consider pro bono opportunities.
In the world of business we are committed to promoting the advancement of careers for 'non-fee earning' positions in professional services firms. In other words making sure that the marketing, HR and General Management professionals receive as much career attention as the lawyers, accountants, engineers etc that they work with.
In 2004 we established a scholarship with the Australasian Professional Services Marketing Association (APSMA) which pays for young Australasian marketers to attend industry based conferences in the UK and USA and gets them thinking about new marketing initiatives they can bring to their jobs.
This year we are excited about an award we have created with the Australian Legal Practice Management Association (ALPMA) which will be awarded to the Law Firm that can demonstrate it has innovative ways of developing the careers of its non-legal staff.
