Get the most from your Recruitment Agency

Get the most from your recruiter (candidate)

Did we tell you that you are special? Well you are because without you, we wouldn't have a business. This is what we tell ourselves everyday

  • Listen to the candidate - don't assume that you know what they want.
  • Respect the candidate - this is a difficult time for them and quite stressful. They are allowed to be up and down (but not rude - that's just bad manners)
  • Reply to their phone calls and messages - you took this job because you said you liked communicating with people!
  • Keep them in the loop - no news is still news. There is nothing worse than not knowing what is happening in a recruitment process, so even if you don't know anything new, keep the candidate informed.

Ok, that's what we try and do. Can we give you some tips now and then we can begin our mutually rewarding relationship:

  • Listen to the recruiter - we do this everyday and may have a perspective you have not thought of. Also we know our clients and are well placed to give you sound advice on their recruitment behaviour.
  • Respect our job - we enjoy what we do and we are making a career out of it. We aren't here because we couldn't find anything else to do, all of us gave up great jobs to come here and help you get yours!
  • Reply to our phonecalls and messages - didn't you list great communications skills on your cv?
  • Keep us in the loop - we know that you may be looking at other opportunities and speaking to other agencies. We won't be offended if you are. Guess what, we are speaking to other candidates too.

Mmmmm, we observe a trend in the above. Lets just be open and honest with each other and the old adage "help us to help yourself" will come true.
