Working Overseas

Seldon Gill International specialises in helping candidates find work overseas.

We also work with those hoping to find employment in Australia as international candidates or those returning home.

New changes to the Working Holiday Maker Visa means candidates can now work in Australia for twice as long.

Changes to UK work visas for Australians

There's been some changes to work visa requirements for Australians wanting to head to the UK on the traditional working holiday. In short they are as follows:

  • Australians will need a minimum of $3900 in their bank accounts
  • The old requirement that they work for only a part of the two-year stay will be lifted. Visa holders will be able to work throughout their stay and line up full-time jobs before they leave Australia
  • The visa application fee will be cut by 50% from £200 ($500) to £99 from next month
  • Only three other countries - Canada, Japan and New Zealand - will qualify for the new system
  • The changes are due to take effect from November 27 2008
